Study shows the flu shot may increase risk for miscarriage

A study recently published in the journal Vaccine shows that the flu shot may increase a pregnant woman’s risk of miscarriage. Pregnant women who received the flu vaccine showed to have a higher risk of miscarrying, but only if they had received the flu shot the previous year too. Studies are still being conducted to determine if the results are conclusive and ongoing.

Can parents protect their children from car accidents?

As your children grow up they gain independence, new privileges and new responsibilities. Two of the greatest markers of independence are going off to college and getting their own car. DTaP vaccine: possible adverse reactions

Doctors recommend that children receive a DTaP vaccine to prevent diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis. Some doctors also recommend that pregnant women receive the immunization to prevent their infant from contracting these bacterial infections during their first few months of life. Common flu shot complications

In 2016, about 40% of Americans opted to get a flu shot to protect themselves from influenza viruses, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. While medical professionals strongly encourage people of all ages to get flu shots each year, the effectiveness of the vaccines and the complications that can arise are not well-known.

This painful condition, known as shoulder injury related to vaccine administration (SIRVA), is becoming increasingly common and can cause long-lasting health problems.
